BEST TACOS in Southern California What makes it great? -Tacos are PILED with meat! (They do not skimp) -The meat is DELICIOUS -They have various cuts of meats (regular, premium and Prime) the regular is REALLY good, but if you're in the mood for higher cuts like ribeye they offer those options, and those cuts are QUALITY!! Food -TIP: I Ordered both with cheese (it's grilled on to the tortilla) and guacamole -Carne asada taco regular 5/5 -Carne asada Taco Arrachera 5/5 BOTH ARE DELICIOUS -Carne Asada Pizza with Prime meat (ribeye) it's a tortilla with cheese meats and toppings. Order own to share! You'll love it! This place has many awards and it's justified! Service: friendly, helpful and professional. If you're dinning in they'll seat you and take your order. Otherwise you can order take out. Be prepared to wait in line but it moves quick Ambiance: Mexico vibes, causal street atmosphere (very appropriate) THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY! 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This was my second attempt to eat here. The first time, the line was too long and my husband didn’t want to wait. This time, we came on a Tuesday around 5pm and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. After sitting down, it seemed like they forgot about us because no one came to take our order for about 10 minutes, so we let one of the servers know. She was very nice and took care of us right away We ordered tripa and arrachera tacos, an asada burrito, and the arrachera papa loka, everything was delicious. The beef tripa was crispy, and the arrachera was cooked perfectly. I also loved all the different sauces they offer. We sat outside, and around 5:30 they turned on a heater near us, which made it really comfortable. Even though they forgot about us at first, the food is definitely a 5 out of 5. I’ll definitely be coming back! As a note, if you pay with cash, it’s a couple of cents cheaper per item.

After hearing so much hype about this place I felt like I had to try it out. My biggest attention and reason for coming here was to try the prime rib eye and filet mignon tacos. Unfortunately to my surprise and disappointment the young hostess told me the ran out earlier during the day. Fortunately that was not a problem for me since they had plenty of delicious options to choose from. I order 5 tacos. The Asada, Al Pastor, Pork Belly, Cholo Taco with Pork Belly, and the Arrachera taco. The Asada, Al Pastor and Arrachera taco were pretty good, tasty and tender. Not a a lot of flavor, and their salsa lacked a bit of kick to it but was very nice. The one I was looking most forward to was the Pork Belly tacos and was also my biggest disappointment. It was cooked properly but just lacked flavor and was very dry. Mind you I’ve tried pork belly before and know how it’s supposed to taste like but it just tasted bland. The Portions are pretty big, wasn’t able to finish everything but very generous portion sizes. Overall my experience was a bit disappointing. Nothing special or amazing that is over the top. Just a pretty good and decent taco shop that is really popular for some reason in a convenient location. The service was very kind, nice, helpful, and respectful. If you’re looking for something that will blow you out of your mind this is not really the place. For being the top rated in OC it was disappointing. Maybe my expectations were higher or I just expected more. But overall not great but not bad either. I will come back to try the rib eye tacos however to see if that changes my opinion. But overall it is mid.

I had heard so many great things about Tacos Los Cholos, and today we finally had the chance to experience it for ourselves. We arrived just before noon to find a full parking lot and a restaurant buzzing with hungry customers — always a good sign. And it definitely lived up to the hype. We ordered the ribeye, adobada, and asada tacos accompanied by guacamole and chips. Every bite was bursting with flavor — absolutely outstanding. It’s no surprise this place draws such a crowd. The salsa bar was another highlight, offering a wide selection of fresh salsas and all the classic toppings that elevate authentic Mexican cuisine. The customer service was outstanding we were well attended at all times. I highly recommend giving this spot a try. You won’t be disappointed!

This place gets poppin during lunchtime. Buddy and I got there about 2pm and caught the tail end of the lunch crowd, so no wait for a table. Our server was helpful explaining the menu. The salsa bar is clutch! Plenty of salsas, pico, cilantro, onion, cukes, etc. Unfortunately there weren't any Prime meat options today. However, the adobada, arrecherra, and steak tacos I got were delicious. This place has the meats! Each taco was LOADED. Had to ask for extra tortillas to finish the scraps.
