This place was recommended to me by my daughter, because she had eaten here with her cousin. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Everything here is of the highest quality, and the service is top-notch. We had the Hawaiian beef, a pork chop and steak, and the Korean potato salad side was AMAZING! Our server checked on us regularly, to see if we wanted to refill any of our food choices and sides, water, other drinks, or if we needed anything else. It's a great atmosphere and the noise level was perfect, and allowed for our party to converse as we ate. I will definitely be going back to Gen Korean BBQ House!

All-you-can-eat AYCE. Came here for Christmas lunch and had a good experience. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. We ordered from the dinner menu, and the galbi and beef bulgogi were the highlights. I appreciated how proactive the servers were with changing our grill at regular intervals. It’s a good selection for the price. The only downside was the restroom. There was a very intense smell even before entering the door.

Very disappointing experience. They served frozen marinated meat and had no steaks available. We waited about 1.5 hours because they kept saying the steaks were coming, but they never arrived. For two people we paid $69 plus tip for extremely poor-quality food. Hours later we still had a bad taste in our mouths and even had stomach issues. Definitely not coming back.

1 star. Absolutely unreal experience at Gen BBQ in Tustin. I've never felt more disrespected as a customer in my life. During dinner, I was burned by HOT oil falling from the pan due to my server not paying attention and pouring on my hand, and immediately felt pain in my hand. Instead of showing concern or trying to help, the situation somehow turned into ME being treated like I was the problem. Two female managers came over and immediately tried to get me to sign paperwork saying, "we heard you burned yourself," which felt like they were trying to shift blame and remove all liability before even addressing what happened. To make things worse, I was sitting there with my hand hurting the rest of the night, and while dealing with that, two of my friends stopped by to say hi for maybe 15 minutes. One of them literally took a HALF INCH piece of meat off my plate before leaving, and somehow they decided to charge me for TWO additional people. Seriously? They weren't dining there. Then came the part that completely pushed me over the edge: I was told they'd remove those extra charges if I signed the paper saying I basically caused my own injury. That felt incredibly wrong. On top of all that, when I asked for the managers' names, they refused to provide them. In my experience, the burn itself was one thing and accidents happen. But the way I felt I was treated afterward was unacceptable. I walked out feeling frustrated, disrespected, and honestly shocked at how badly this situation was handled. I'll never be returning.

When this place 1st open it was really good. It has been like a yr since we’ve been back and nothing really taste good anymore. The meat quality wasn’t good, soup was so blan and. Dipping sauce we got like a teaspoon amount and even that was blan. And when I saw how the rice was presented before we got it then I know that it was it for me
